Predestination II

Grace of God Theological Seminary

Theme: Predestination II

Text: (Ephesians 1: 5, 11)

Predestination means to earmark, to decree, to point or to establish beforehand to a worldly or an eternal destiny; the prefix ‘pre’ of predestination refers to time. The Webster dictionary says that it refers to ‘beforehand’. Destiny refers to the place where we are going, as we can see in the common use of the word ‘destination’. What predestination means in its more elemental form, is that our final destination, Heaven or Hell, is decided by God not only before we get there, but even before we born.

1. Only will believe in Jesus those whom are ordered and predestined to eternal life.

a) Acts 13: 48 – And all those whom were ordained to eternal life, believed.

b) John 10: 26, 27 – But you don’t believe.

c) John 8: 43, 44, 47 – Whoever is of God hears the words of God.

d) John 2: 22, 23 – Many believed in His name when they saw the signs that He was doing.

e) Acts 9: 42 – And many believed in the Lord.

f) Acts 11: 21 – And a great number who believed turned to the Lord.

2. There are people in this earth that are already condemned.

a) John 17: 12 – Except the son of destruction.

b) Romans 9: 22 – Vessels of wrath prepared of destruction.

c) I Peter 2: 8 – They disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

d) Proverbs 16: 4 – Even the wicked for the day of trouble.

e) I John 3: 12 – Like Cain, who was of the evil one.

f) Jude 4 – Who long ago were designated for this condemnation.

3. Benefits of the Predestined.

a) Ephesians 2: 1-5 – He gave us life.

b) Romans 5: 1, 9 – Justified by His blood.

c) Romans 5: 10, 11 – Reconciliated to God.

d) Colossians 2: 13, 14 – Having forgiven us all our trespasses.

e) I Peter 1: 23 – Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable.

f) Ephesians 1: 3 – Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing.

g) Colossians 2: 10 – And you have been filled in Him. Philippians 3: 15 (Perfect)

h) I Peter 2: 24 – By His wounds you have been healed.

i) I Corinthians 1: 30 – Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification and Redemption.

Final Word: The predestined are fulfilling the purposes of God, which cannot be frustrated. Because by Him they were established, and all is to the glory of God.

So be, thus saith the Lord!
